Furnace & Air Conditioner Breakdown Prevention Plan
Our prevention plan is for clients that want their equipment and home to last and run efficiently. Similar to our Emerald Club plan for plumbing we offer the Preventative Maintenance Plan for furnace and air conditioning service. The annual plan includes:
Optimal performance check up: We'll check every important part of your covered equipment and ensure it's operating at its best. A furnace and air conditioner tune-up, for example, can improve energy efficiency by as much as 15%. Our maintenance service includes cleaning the burner box, heat exchanger, evaporator coil, indoor fan, lube fan motors, electrical systems, voltage, and farad test.
Pre-emptive repairs: A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This especially rings true with your homes comfort system. A new furnace or air conditioner can run anywhere from $1800 to $10,000 installed so it pays to have annual maintenance done, plus annual furnace and AC tune ups can help save energy and lower your cost of heating and cooling.
Safety checks: for gas leaks, carbon monoxide, combustion and exhaust gases. We'll make sure your home is safe.
Education: We'll help you understand the regular maintenance needs of your system. Regular maintenance that will help ensure your system works well.
Annual tune-ups are performed between February and August of each year. This allows us to ensure we have adequate technical support during the cold winter months when breakdowns are more common.
Repair or Replace
A furnace or air conditioner is a long-term investment that will keep you comfortable for many years to come if serviced and maintained. Simple maintenance such as cleaning and lubeing moving parts goes a long way towards extending the life of your comfort equipment. But, if your furnace or AC unit is more than 18 to 20 years old, it may be more cost-effective in the long run to replace it with a newer unit offering greater efficiency and lower operating costs. Especially with the new tax incentives and rebates available this year.
Our comfort advisors can provide you with different options and the related costs. Plus we have all the current information on incentives and rebate offers through PG&E and the department of energy. We'll help you determine if a new furnace or air conditioner change out is the right option for you and help you calculate how much money you can expect to receive in rebate or tax credit. That way you can make the best decision for your home and your needs.

How Radiant Heat Works
Radiant Heat is based in principle on the primary source of heat we know -- the warmth of the sun. Hot water radiant heat, like natural sunlight, warms you and the objects around you instead of the air you breathe as other heating systems do. Radiant Heat also assures gentle draft-free circulation in each room of the home. Radiant heating can be installed into new concrete slabs on gravel grade, or to cap an existing floor. It can also be installed in panel radiators. Modern radiators are far different than the big bulky radiators you remember from grandmas house. | more
