Summary: The Noritz Condensing High Efficiency Tankless Water Heater utilizes a dual heat exchanger, a fusion of stainless steel and copper heat exchangers. The 100% stainless steel component captures the residual heat from the exhaust temperature to preheat the incoming water before it runs through the main copper heat exchanger. This results in dramatic reduction of carbon dioxide and increases the heater's efficiency level to over 93%! Another benefit of this technology is lower exhaust temperatures, which means less costly PVC can be used for its venting. A PVC adapter is built into the heater for easy installation.

Our Comparison Opinion:

Rinnai Tankless Water Heater - We've install a number of Rinnai water heater and have had generally positive feedback. They do come at a slightly higher price point and so far we have not identified any real advantage to the Rinnai over Noritz.

Bosch Tankless Water Heater - We find Bosch to be one of the most unreliable tankless water heaters. We don't have much to say about their newer products however Bosch along with Aquastar are the number one failed unit we end up replacing in the field.

Takagi Tankless Water Heater - We have seen mixed performance with Takagi. We have never installed new Takagi systems, however we have performed a number of service related repairs. For now we are sticking with Noritz and Eternal as or most reliable and worthy tankless water heaters.
